The cottage is lovely with beautiful views that we can look at all day. It is well stocked in kitchen with plenty of crockery, glasses etc. To have two en-suites and family bathroom is great.Parking for two cars is a real bonus.

If you can negotiate the steps down to the bungalow, this property is great for the more infirm as, you can watch the harbour activity for hours. All rooms are lovely. Only worry I had was the dog potentially getting the carpet dirty. Spent a lot of time catching her to wipe her feet whenever she went into garden. Hard flooring would be so much easRead moreier/less stressful. Hide

Rose bank is on the hill above the village and has the most spectacular view of Polruan and Fowey! It is a joy to see from the sitting room and main bedroom. It is worth remembering that the hill is quite steep.

A comfortable, mid -range quality, dog-friendly house and garden with stunning views over the estuary. Very well equipped kitchen, and spacious seating (inside and out) including a large dining area. Polruan is charming, with a lovely harbour, a couple of good pubs and an excellent shop (tip - place an order before you arrive for delivery to the hoRead moreuse). Not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties due to the steps down from the parking area to the house as well as the hills in Polruan. Hide

Good size, comfy cottage with a lovely garden and wonderful views of the river. Three good size bedrooms. Roads in the village are very narrow and very steep as are the steps down to the cottage.

Lovely views across the estuary from the cottage. It was very well equipped. Beds were comfortable. 'Boot room' at entry to property was particularly useful in wet weather. The village is hilly which was fine for us but could be problematic for some. Local pub (Luggers Inn) served good food and was dog friendly.

Rosebank has an amazing view. We really didn't need to go out. The decor is little dated, but it was comfortable, the dogs loved it.

The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark. Children will love winding their way through the scenic coastal landscape with the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and for those brave enough, there is ample opportunity to hunt down the mysterious beast of Bodmin Moor.

The beautiful capital town of Truro with its magnificent cathedral and wide boulevards is just over an hour away by car and the newly redeveloped St Austell, home to the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan can be reached within forty-five minutes.
