A popular destination for boat lovers due to its sheltered and deep harbour, as well as its rich maritime history, Fowey’s narrow streets and ancient buildings showcase what a Cornish village truly looks like. Although some big chain stores have opened stores in the town, many of Fowey’s shops are local and independent, offering a selection of wonderful places to buy traditional boating paraphernalia as well as gifts and souvenirs promoting the town.

The pretty harbour town is filled with quaint tea rooms and water-front pubs where you can grab a bite to eat and the fresh seafood is in abundance in the area with shellfish being a popular choice.
