Beautiful cottage nestled amongst the houses in polruen. A terrific view over the estuary to Fowey . Very peaceful and relaxing. The cottage has everything you need which is great, so you dont have to carry it all from the car. Brian (our dog) slept peacefully every night.

A really well refurbed little cottage with wonderful view - as read in other visitor reviews the steps down to the property are very steep slate steps, some people would find these tricky. Beautiful position with good views of the harbour. Bedrooms small but adequate. Living areas feel spacious and comfortable. The day bed proved very popular. The number of steps down to the property were somewhat daunting every morning but it improved our fitness.

Lovely comfortable cottage and great view. Polruan is a lovely quiet village. Just be aware that there are a lot of steps as mention in the description, you go down some very steep steps then along a walkway and then up steeps steps to the cottage door. You may want to consider this when packing and what you take.

Superb. One of the best cottages we have ever stayed in with the best view. The beds were very comfortable. The location was quiet. The balcony was a definite plus. The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark. Children will love winding their way through the scenic coastal landscape with the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and for those brave enough, there is ample opportunity to hunt down the mysterious beast of Bodmin Moor.
