Superbly hidden and nestled amongst the tree line, this private and peaceful property makes a fantastic retreat for a family gathering or a splendid base for the avid explorers.

This gem is located in an elevated spot with glorious views across the tree lines in the hamlet of Pont. Head to Polruan where you can take a relaxing trip on the passenger ferry to the bustling and fashionable small port of Fowey which is flanked by fourteenth century blockhouses. Should you decide to leave the village to visit more of the area you will not be disappointed as there is so much to see and do, go for a walk on the beautiful coastal path onto Lantic Bay, Polperro or even Bodinnick where you can catch the ferry back. Within reach is the Eden Project, Lost gardens of Heligan and towns of Looe, Charlestown and Mevagissey. Throughout the year there are local activities to enjoy; the Fowey Regatta and the Polruan Carnival being just two of them.

Step inside this splendid retreat to the light, welcoming entrance hall. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner leading into a spacious conservatory is a superb social space for all the family. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Enjoy a morning coffee whilst admiring the treetop view from the breakfast bar or have a more formal breakfast at the dining table or al fresco on the large decked terrace area fronting this part of the property. Watch TV on the comfy sofa or relax in the conservatory which has more seating and a telescope, perfect for stargazing on a clear night. A few steps up from the kitchen/hallway you will find the first floor hallway which houses the snug. Cosy up in the snug and read a good book or watch TV, There is access to a shower room with shower and WC through the snug. Directly opposite the snug and down a few steps you will find a twin bedroom with TV and hanging space. On this floor there is also a stunning contemporary bathroom with freestanding bath. At the end of this hallway you will find the first king-size bedroom with a TV, dual aspect views and a dressing room area. Across this room is a further beautiful bathroom with a freestanding bath, a walk in shower and a WC. Stairs lead from this first floor hallway to the ground floor and the front door. Here you will find the second king size bedroom with TV and dressing room, again dual aspect so lay in bed and take in the woodland views. Like the first floor, directly opposite this king size bedroom is the third contemporary bathroom with a bath, walk in shower and a WC. .Further down this hallway there is the second twin bedroom with TV. Positives: Great location. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to Lantic Bay, with beautiful views. The conservatory area and deck had amazing views into the trees. Negatives: Really damp. Most bathroom doors were swollen and didn't shut properly, and didn't have working locks. Towels never dried out. Provisions felt stingy - for 1 week, provided 4 dRead moreishwasher tablets, a small number of bin bags separated from a roll, barely any loo rolls, 1 tea towel. Disappointing. Hide

Located in beautiful place but roads to house are not for the faint hearted. Plenty of bed & bathrooms but lounge area a little small. Kitchen well equipped and spacious. Take stair gates if you have small children. We had decent weather so main veranda was nice. But couldnt access other verandas. Listen for the owl early morning

Location is beautiful, house being open plan upstairs is good for large numbers. Bedrooms are a good size with lots of storage space. House in general is good but does need some TLC for the price being charged.

Very disappointing. Horrific parking. Tired, damp property in parts with no comfortable living area or garden. Had to wait until 6pm to access property and then when we arrived and attempted to park on drive there was a huge amount of stress due to cleaners still being there and having to back out onto tiny road. This property could be amazing but unfortunately it is very tired and needs some serious maintenance. We have fed the issues back to the owners so I really hope they take some time to put these right. The cost of the property certainly didnt reflect value for money. That said, we had a lovely holiday because of the great location and weather.

Lovely house equipped to a high specification, in a great location overlooking Pont Creek through the trees. You can join the famous Hall Walk yards from the house, and a short but steep hike brings you to the coast path and Lantic Bay, the best beach in this part of Cornwall.

It is lovely property in a fabulous location. Just needs some TLC in areas. We had a fab stay otherwise and the weather was superb.

A beautifully situated property- out of the way and peaceful but easy walking distance to Polruan and Fowey. Comfortable and spacious and the outdoor decking areas were fab.

The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark. Children will love winding their way through the scenic coastal landscape with the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and for those brave enough, there is ample opportunity to hunt down the mysterious beast of Bodmin Moor.
