Charming luxurious bespoke shepherds hut with wood burner perfect for cosy nights in. Situated in a peaceful tranquil setting and benefits from magnificent sea and countryside views.

Nestled in the grounds of a beautiful former church, in the sleepy hamlet of Kyloe, just minutes from the magnificent unspoilt Northumberland coastline, with its splendid sandy beaches to explore. The medieval town of Berwick-upon-Tweed and the picture postcard seaside village of Bamburgh with its magnificent castle are close at hand. Visit the historic marketing towns of Alnwick famed for its castle used in the Harry Potter films, Wooler and Morpeth. Walkers, hikers and mountain bikers are well catered for with Glendale, Cheviot Hills and Northumberland’s National Park within easy reach. Enjoy a trip to the beautiful Holy Island of Lindisfarne, with its unique access across its tidal causeway, or catch a sea-life boat trip around the stunning Farne Islands.

Leading through the beautiful private arched tree lined pathway up to a small flight of stairs, onto the decked area, you are met with this delightful idyllic shepherds hut perfect for a luxurious romantic glamping experience. Entering the property you will find to the left the snug sleeping area with a king-size bed and wall mounted Smart TV/DVD and radio/iPod dock, perfect for listing to music, and plenty of storage space. There is a dining table with seating and a wood burner perfect for cosy nights in and oil fired plug in heater at hand too. The kitchen area is well-equipped with electric double hob, fridge with ice compartment, microwave and sink. Next, through the door you will find the shower room with shower and WC.

Venturing outside is the private decked area with seating wher you can enjoy magnificent countryside and sea views across to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. This is a perfect area for alfresco dining with charcoal BBQ provided, or perhaps enjoy a nice glass of wine or a good local ale. Located next to the hut is a very handy unique boot room made out of the original churches pulpit, perfect for outdoor clothing storage. There is also a covered secure bike storage next to the property and log store. Ample off-road parking is available for this property.

Very well equipped with everything you would need without having to take anything other than your personal belongings with you. The views and walks are breathtaking, the hut and its situation is very private. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

The highlight for me was watching the rise and fall of the tides around the Farnes as I sat with my feet up in front of the Hut.

Perfectly positioned hut giving access to all the places worth visiting. Far-reaching views to the coast and fabulous sunsets. Hares, pheasants and owls visit. Owners had predicted every need and ingeniously and stylishly fitted it -and more - into such a small space. Much of what we'd brought went straight back into the car. The 'Shepherd's Hut' is a little gem hidden away in a churchyard, surrounded by fields and wildlife. The location is perfect too, not far from Holy Island, Banburgh etc and plenty of good walks. It was very clean, comfortable, well equipped and there was fresh eggs, Prosecco, crisps and biscuits waiting for us, a really nice touch from the owners. My husband and I stayed at the hut as a new years getaway. From arriving at the site to entering the hut to leaving on the last day, it was a fantastic experience. The hut was very clean upon arrival and felt very safe. It has a lovely layout and the log burner is more than enough warmth, even on the cold winter nights. We will certainly be back!

The hut is in a great position with views across to the sea and Holy Island, and is quite centrally placed for local travel. As. Solo traveler, it was a great place to stay. Beautiful location where you can sit in bed and have a great view. This compact accommodation is well equipped and cosy, with a great log burner for any colder days. The views over fields to Lindisfarne are fantastic and the location is so peaceful yet within easy reach of the A1 for exploring the area. We would definitely recommend it for couples looking to explore Northumberland.

We chose this hut because of its isolation. In the middle of the pandemic and because I was trying to remain almost shielded, it was a wise choice, rather than staying amidst other properties. Also, the view is wonderful and you are in the middle of farmland.

Brilliant location and a lovely experience. The owners have thought through the Hut completely making excellent use of the space. It's quirky and fun. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would go again

This was a lovely private romantic get away. There were lots of little touches that made the stay even more special. We would definitely go back.

Quirky, comfortable and cosy shepherds hut tucked secretly away within the church grounds. Views are unbelievable across to Lindesfarne and the countryside. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay.

This was a great place to stay. Brilliant views over the fields and out the beach and sea. Quiet and comfortable. Bottle of Prosecco and fresh eggs were a nice touch. Good communication from the host beforehand. Good location for short journeys to local villages. A quirky little place that we would definitely return to.

The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark. Children will love winding their way through the scenic coastal landscape with the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and for those brave enough, there is ample opportunity to hunt down the mysterious beast of Bodmin Moor.

Surrounded by gorgeous countryside and nature reserves, lakes and rivers, the area boasts some of the best sailing and watersports in the UK. If you are looking for somewhere remote and unspoilt, but with lots to keep you busy, Polruan is the perfect choice.
