A beautiful cottage with a brilliant view of the mountains beside Coniston Lake. We really appreciated the welcome pack left for us and found the cottage to be very comfy and perfect for our stay. Just a short drive away is Brantwood Cafe, with wonderful food and amazing views. We would also recommend the Coniston Inn which is a short drive (or walRead morek!) away, which is also dog friendly. A lovely week away in the lakes, thank you! Hide

The cottage is beautiful and it is based in a great location. Only 10 min walk to the lake. But there were a few things which I would have expected better for the price paid: - the allocated parking space is along the main road and most of the car will be on the road. Something to consider for larger vehicles. Also there is nowhere to reverse on thRead moree road so we had to drive a bit further to be able to park. - no small logs, lighter provided for the log burner so we couldnt use it - poor wifi Hide

Great location and cosy log burner. Very clean and welcome pack of goodies was a nice touch. The bed was very warm and comfortable, but the house is very chilly first thing. Please bear in mind, if you are taking a dog there is no garden and you will need to take your dog on a lead onto the lane next to the cottage.

The cottage was very warm and cosy which was perfect when returning from our walks on the fells. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we needed. The nearest pub was around 1 mile away and Coniston was slightly further which was sufficiently remote without feeling isolated.

Nice comfortably furnished spacious property for two people We had issues with the heating but I understand from the agent that this has now been resolved. The Dairy is a beautiful cottage to stay at. It is in a great location not far from Coniston Lake and other locations. The cottage itself is all done out to a high spec and was extremely welcoming and well presented. We were sad to leave! When we return to the Lake District we would love to return to The Dairy as it met all our expectations.
