Springhill Cottage

Located in the traditional village of Polruan, tucked away in the peaceful area of Chapel Lane. In the village itself are a choice of two pubs, village store, bakery, teashop and the regular passenger ferry across to Fowey. For walkers, there is easy access to the Hall Walk coast path with its stunning coastal scenery, Cardinham Woods with 650-acres of waymarked trails to discover, giving you plenty of opportunities to blow away the cob webs. For family days out visit Hangloose Adventures to get your heart racing with giant cliff swing and zip wire, Adrenaline Quarry, Siblyback Lake Country Park with a range of activities both on and off the water.

Access to the cottage is via the Hall Walk steps. As you enter this delightful property, head left into the lounge with comfortable seating and stylish cream wood burner, makes the perfect place to cosy up and watch a film on the Smart TV, listen to music on the bluetooth speaker or read a good book. Across the hall and into the light and airy kitchen/diner, equipped with electric range oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, slimline dishwasher and coffee machine. There is a utility lobby off the kitchen with a washing machine and a compact tumble dryer. As a family gather around the dining table and plan your holiday adventures over breakfast. Completing the ground floor is the family bathroom with roll top bath with a hand help shower head and WC.

At the end of the day make your way to the first floor, with its original stain glass window gives light and interest as you head upstairs. Here you will find three bedrooms all enjoying river and village views. There is a master king bedroom with feature fireplace and DVD player and en-suite shower room.  A double bedroom and twin bedroom which is perfect for children complete with toys and book. A separate WC is accessed from the hallway.

Heading outside there is a private garden and raised decking area with seating and river views. The garden is ideal for children to play where they can be supervised from the kitchen, lounge or from the raised decked area.

• Due to the location of the cottage there is NO access to cottage by car. A luggage drop off point is approx 300yards from the cottage. You will need to carry your luggage up the slope along Chapel Lane from this point.

• No private parking. Parking available in nearby car parks (charges apply)

• Please note there are 13 long tread steps and a steep slope up to the cottagePolruan is a quaint little village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging.

• Amenities such as the ferries, pubs and shop in Polruan are accessed via steps/ slopes some of which can be steep. Please contact us if you have specific requirements.

• There are many small winding streets in and around Polruan that are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Polruan do not have private parking. However, there is a large pay and display carpark at the top of the village about an 8 minute walk away from the cottage.

• There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £250 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £30. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.
