A quaint and surprisingly large cottage which is ideally situated in the heart of the village with its narrow streets and unspoiled architecture.

Set in ancient fishing village of Polruan, next to the local tea rooms, famous for its boat building heritage and stunning scenery. The village has everything you need including pubs/restaurants, shops and a small beach. If you decide to venture further afield the town of Fowey with its shops, restaurants and pubs, is just a short drive away or you can get there by the passenger ferry from the quay. The area is packed full of beaches, coastal walks and valleys, offering opportunities for walking, swimming and sailing.

On entering the property, you will immediately be amazed by the large kitchen/diner with electric oven and hob, fridg/ freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, and a dining table which seats 4 comfortably. A staircase leads up to the first floor where the comfortable lounge takes up the whole of this floor giving you lots of room. Here you can cosy up in front of the wood burner and watch TV. Heading up to the second floor you will find two bedrooms, a double with TV and a single. Also on this floor is the bathroom with shower over the bath and WC.

There is no outside space at the property however, the cottage is within paces from the beach and village quay. Parking is available at the nearby car parks where charges apply

Another relaxing week in Polruan. A warm cosy property, providing a great base to explore the surrounding area. Plenty of space for three, though the single bedroom is very snug. Quite a hike from the carpark on the hill, but worth it and there is room (sometimes) outside for unloading. Really close to local amenities, shop, cafe and two pubs. It is a lovely cottage but because of it's location it is not ideal for older people. Very steep road into the village and for parking.

Lovely location, but need to be fit as lots of steep stairs in the cottage and steep slop to property. However all worth it as an amazing location to stay for your holiday in cronwall.

Nice cottage over 3 floors, well fitted out, ideally placed in the village.

Very comfortable and well placed for us. Also room for 1 adult son at a time should any of them fancy a couple of days break. Well presented and very clean.

Holiday Cottage was very clean and comfortable. Location was perfect for a nice relaxing break, close to the harbour and convenient for walks and the ferry to Fowey. We also found the community bus, which stopped outside our door, a useful service to view the surrounding countryside and visit local villages. There is a lovely cafe next door, servinRead moreg good food but only until about 4pm. The local pub 'The Russell Inn' serves reasonable food but only on certain nights which means a trip to Fowey Hide

The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark. Children will love winding their way through the scenic coastal landscape with the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and for those brave enough, there is ample opportunity to hunt down the mysterious beast of Bodmin Moor.

The beautiful capital town of Truro with its magnificent cathedral and wide boulevards is just over an hour away by car and the newly redeveloped St Austell, home to the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan can be reached within forty-five minutes. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside and nature reserves, lakes and rivers, the area boasts some of the best sailing and watersports in the UK. If you are looking for somewhere remote and unspoilt, but with lots to keep you busy, Polruan is the perfect choice.
