The cottage was beautifully clean and well decorated and the coffee and biscuits a nice touch. It was also lovely to have vases of fresh flowers in the hall and lounge. Beautifully furnished and equipped, great location. I know having the bath in the bedroom is having a moment right now, but it's still weird!

Lovely cottage flat. Very clean and beautifully decorated, as well as being extremely well equipped. Great location for walks from the door, with loads to see on the way. The bathing facilities were poor. The bath was two small to use as i am 6ft 2 in tall. This was a stylish and spotlessly clean cottage flat. Hall, bedroom furniture and kitchen were very well presented. The only real problem was the lack of a shower room. Getting in and out of a deep bath was a bit tricky for folk as mature as we are! Great location - walkable distance to Melrose.

The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark. Children will love winding their way through the scenic coastal landscape with the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and for those brave enough, there is ample opportunity to hunt down the mysterious beast of Bodmin Moor.
