Polruan is a small fishing village in the parish of Lanteglos-by-Fowey in Cornwall. It is bounded on three sides by water. The village has two pubs and a passenger ferry that will take you across to Fowey. The neighbouring village of Bodinnick to the north is connected by a four mile walk along the hill tops. Further afield there are plenty of places to visit and things to do, why not visit the tall ships at Charlestown, take the brewery tour in St Austell or visit the Eden project and/or the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Also for those interested in stately homes why not visit Lanhydrock in Bodmin.

Entering this charming three storey property into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen area is equipped with an electric oven and induction hob, dishwasher, coffee machine and washer/dryer. Located near the window, is the dining area which comfortably seats four. The lounge area has a large L shaped sofa, a wood burner effect electric fire, TV/DVD, CD player and i-Pod dock. Heading up to the first floor there is a double bedroom which overlooks Fore Street down to the estuary. Also on this floor you will find the bathroom, with shower over bath and WC. Then take the stairs to the second floor, the final bedroom is in the attic of the house, a twin bedroom. Please note this is accessed via steep attic stairs.

Due to the location there is no outside space for this property, however the cottage is so close to the quay and beach. Parking is available in the public car park nearby, weekly passes can be purchased.

A perfectly situated base for visiting the local area. The cottage is functional but could do with a few improvements, e.g. a freezer compartment in the fridge.

Pucks is a little gem of a cottage. Beautifully furnished through out. Comfortable beds & all the equipment needed to make it home from home. Cleaned to a high standard. The small (though fabulously stocked) convenience store lies approx 4 doors down which is next to the bakery (recommend the strawberry and almond tart)! As for the evening, take a Read morestroll to the Luggers & take out your favourite tipple, sit by the harbour & watch the boats bob up & down or have a cheeky paddle in the sea, lovely! Hide

Recently returned from a lovely week in Cornwall. Lovely location and Polruan is very. However Puck Cottage definitely needs some improvement! Here are some points that are worth knowing before you book/arrive! * There is no freezer compartment in the fridge. * There are only 3 dining room chairs so one of us had to eat breakfast/lunch or dinner onRead more the sofa. Not ideal. * The shower pressure is VERY low. * The stairs, particularly up to the loft room are very steep - stair gate would be good. Hide

Lovely small cottage. Perfect for a small family. Very steep hill so not for anyone with mobility issues. Great village. Beautiful views all around. Park at top and walk down. Couple of great pubs and easy to nip over to Fowey on the ferry. Coastal path is beautiful. Enjoyed the cottage, clean, well equipped and everything we needed. Thank you!

Small cottage in great location to take advantage of the Cornwall coast. Cottage is small (as expected) & could do with a little updating. In easy reach of Fowey by ferry for restaurants etc plus some facilities available in Polruan itself. Would flag that the cottage is near harbour with (plenty of) car parking at top of hill.

A small cottage but excellent use of the space across 3 floors to provide all you need. There were 4 of us. The kids loved the place and the loft room where they could have some down time. Location is excellent. Very close to what, shops and pubs. Would book again.

This is a very cosy cottage and suited our family of 3 perfectly. There are lots of steep roads and paths around this property so this isnt suitable for very young children. We loved getting the ferry to Fowey and exploring the nearby beaches. Had a great holiday.

Pucks cottage is in a great location to access the ferry and local pubs/shops. The cottage is well equipped but may be slightly cramped for a family of four.
