This delightful cottage has been tastefully decorated making it the perfect base for a relaxed family holiday, situated in the coastal village of Par within walking distance of a shop, two pubs, a fish and chip shop, bakers and a slightly longer walk to the beach.

You will be within walking distance to all the amenities this thriving village offers. There is also a mainline railway station which means that you don't even need a car to explore. Nearby, the magnificent Eden Project is definitely one to add to the activity list with it's impressive giant tropical and Mediterranean biospheres, as well as the secluded coves and picturesque fishing villages of Fowey, Looe, Polperro and Mevagissey. Keen golfers will be in their element with four championship courses including Carlyon Bay, St Austell and Porthpean just a short drive away. Other attractions and places of interest accessible from here include, Charlestown with its Tall Ships, the Saints Way Pilgrim Trail, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and numerous National Trust properties and gardens.

This charming property makes up a small row of terrace cottages and is quietly situated along a short footpath. Upon entering the accommodation, you are greeted with a light and airy open-plan lounge/diner, snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of the wood burner while watching your favourite programme on the Smart TV. There is also a dining table perfect for those family meals. A step down takes you to the small yet very well-equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, perfect for trying out new recipes or old family favourites. There is also a utility area by the back door with washing machine and space for shoes, coats and buckets and spades after a day at the beach. Heading upstairs via the open staircase are two bedrooms, a spacious double and a smaller twin. Completing this floor is the bathroom with shower over bath and a WC.

Heading outside, there is a seating area to the front of the cottage, ideal for enjoying your morning coffee or glass of wine at the end of a busy day exploring. There is a chapel car park at the end of the row of cottages, which is freely available unless there is a special service.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Conveniently located cottage for Par sands, local amenities & the coast path. Very comfortable beds. Excellent value.

The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark. Children will love winding their way through the scenic coastal landscape with the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and for those brave enough, there is ample opportunity to hunt down the mysterious beast of Bodmin Moor.

The beautiful capital town of Truro with its magnificent cathedral and wide boulevards is just over an hour away by car and the newly redeveloped St Austell, home to the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan can be reached within forty-five minutes. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside and nature reserves, lakes and rivers, the area boasts some of the best sailing and watersports in the UK. If you are looking for somewhere remote and unspoilt, but with lots to keep you busy, Polruan is the perfect choice.
