The property is as described but unfortunately the outdoor shower did make the bathroom feel cold and smell damp; the towel radiator didnt seem to be connected. The water pressure in the other bathroom wasnt great but there was always plenty of hot for six. The property is clean and well equipped. Parking is difficult and we sadly annoyed the neighRead morebours on arrival by blocking access to a gate which we hadnt known about until we read it in the book inside the property about access. This cottage has some nice features, but for the amount we paid we couldn't recommend it, I'm sorry to say. The outside shower is really the only useable one (the handheld shower over the bath wasn't very good at all), there's no dishwasher (ok, a first world problem!), parking is a bit of a nightmare and the house smelt strongly of damp/mould (ourRead more 8 and 11 year-old daughters kept commenting on it). On the plus side there are two ovens in the kitchen and a good sized fridge freezer. Hide

In overall terms, Moons Cottage is ideally located and can easily accommodate 6 adults, however, it is far from perfect. It would benefit from a larger outside dining table, a dishwasher replacing one of the two ovens and a back up gas bottle for the BBQ. A shower in the common bathroom would be useful too although it has to be said, the outside shRead moreower is wonderful. Neither bathroom has a lock on the door which can be very embarrassing. And make no mistake, parking is a challenge. Hide

This cottage is beautiful! The outside shower was our favourite feature! The decor is wonderful and the cottage is pretty well equipped. Views out of windows are gorgeous. Parking is a little tight so smaller cars would be preferable. Although the cottage has a high chair and travel cot, the cottages layout isnt suitable for a relaxed stay with smaRead morell children ( or perhaps elderly). We had an active toddler in our party and we had to be on high alert all the time. Hide

The cottage is extremely comfortable and commands a phenomenal position with great views, and being so close to some of the best areas of Cornwall to explore. The property is well thought out and Chris & Caroline have finished the cottage with unique and artistic touches. As first time visitors to Golant we were amazed with how laid back the villagRead moree is, and how friendly and accommodating all the neighbours are. The cottage was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. It feels quite new so just a few teething problems, I suspect. The cottage is well equipped (no dishwasher), the outdoor shower is wonderful and the location is tranquil. Thank you.
