Wonderful views through the picture window, so much happening in the estuary below. Not too far from the car park and easy access to the village, pubs and ferry. Quite a workout climbing up and down the hills and steps (it's a good thing!!) Equiped far above expectations with everything you need and more. Spotlessly clean. We loved it.

An apartment with all that you could want and need. The most stunning view of the Fowey estuary in a peaceful Cornish village on the south coast. Easy access to Fowey (by regular passenger ferry) and the South West coastal path.

Great little cottage in a beautiful area overlooking the harbour. Had never been to Polruan before and loved it and similarly loved the ease of access to Fowey. Cottage fully equipped with everything you could need. Car park was fine, just a bit of a walk each time want to get in the car but to be honest no real need to drive anywhere with the walkRead mores and ferries. Definitely recommend. Hide

The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark. Children will love winding their way through the scenic coastal landscape with the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and for those brave enough, there is ample opportunity to hunt down the mysterious beast of Bodmin Moor.

The beautiful capital town of Truro with its magnificent cathedral and wide boulevards is just over an hour away by car and the newly redeveloped St Austell, home to the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan can be reached within forty-five minutes. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside and nature reserves, lakes and rivers, the area boasts some of the best sailing and watersports in the UK. If you are looking for somewhere remote and unspoilt, but with lots to keep you busy, Polruan is the perfect choice.
