The cottage was more like a house than a cottage, there was so much room upstairs, with everything and more you could wish for even a picnic basket for our day trips. Down stairs had two double rooms with ensuite Which was great, the only problem was if you was over 5ft 8ins you do struggle with the height because the ceiling is low, which also madRead moree the shower cubicle a bit tight. The cottage is in a prime Spot to watch the boat's and ferry going over to fowey, infact the veiw is breath taking. Hide

A Lovely well equipped apartment with fantastic views and patio area that gets full sun in the early morning. The steps could be an issue for less mobile people and car access is a bit tight but not a problem for a smallish car, although the garage is some distance away it was very useful

It is a lovely cottage, spacious and with all the amenities you need for a holiday cottage. Very well and thoughtfully decorated, clean and well furnished.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The views was spectacular. It was clean and tidy throughout. The bathrooms and kitchen were modern, while the rest of the house was dated as any old cottage should be. The garage was a good walk away which we liked as it made think twice about driving. Replace all door handles with more safer versions

The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark. Children will love winding their way through the scenic coastal landscape with the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and for those brave enough, there is ample opportunity to hunt down the mysterious beast of Bodmin Moor.

The beautiful capital town of Truro with its magnificent cathedral and wide boulevards is just over an hour away by car and the newly redeveloped St Austell, home to the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan can be reached within forty-five minutes. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside and nature reserves, lakes and rivers, the area boasts some of the best sailing and watersports in the UK. If you are looking for somewhere remote and unspoilt, but with lots to keep you busy, Polruan is the perfect choice.
