The cottage was perfect for my family of 5 adults and 2 dogs. A very spacious property with lovely rooms and a stunning sea view. It also had a secure garden for our dogs, a real bonus. The property had so much to offer and made our holiday. It was also spotlessly clean. Very highly recommended.

I want to stay quiet about this house, its so like a home from home. Full of period and personal character, books, furniture and fittings. Amazing location but isolated so dont expect to be able to walk to local pub or fish and chips. Wonderful place for complete rest, coast path, beaches. Great garden and very well equipped.

An unusual, large property in an amazing, soothing location looking out to sea, with interesting artefacts throughout. Perfect for energetic toddler who was delighted by the pigs, cows, sheep etc. nearby. Stairs in the cottage and coastal walks less suitable for small children.

Lovely cottage with four excellent bedrooms, two reception rooms, one being a large kitchen diner, and an Aga for keen cooks. Great for walkers, access to the Southwest coast path only yards away. Not so suitable for older or disabled people as the only pub in nearby Polruan is down a steep hill with limited parking nearby. The other pubs involve aRead more ferry crossing to Fowey, which is also well supplied with shops and cafes. Hide

Property was very spacious and the arga cooker was amazing to use. The views were brilliant, I watched bat's flying in the evening and saw a fabulous barn owl in the back garden too.

Lovely location with sea views. Lots of space for 8 people. Location absolutely brilliant for walking dogs along cliff top path and swimming in the sea in quiet and sheltered bays.

The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark. Children will love winding their way through the scenic coastal landscape with the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and for those brave enough, there is ample opportunity to hunt down the mysterious beast of Bodmin Moor.

The beautiful capital town of Truro with its magnificent cathedral and wide boulevards is just over an hour away by car and the newly redeveloped St Austell, home to the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan can be reached within forty-five minutes. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside and nature reserves, lakes and rivers, the area boasts some of the best sailing and watersports in the UK. If you are looking for somewhere remote and unspoilt, but with lots to keep you busy, Polruan is the perfect choice.
