This property is the ideal base for families to explore the Cornish coast, with plenty of attractions and seaside villages close by and just a short walk from the beach and rock pools in Fowey.

Ideally located in the village of Fowey with pubs, restaurants and sandy beach at Ready Money Cove. From the quay in Fowey you can hire a historic 1940’s boat, take a steamboat river trip or just relax at one of the waterfront pubs or cafes. Take a trip over to the seaside village of Polruan or a little further afield visit Mevigissey on the small ferry, an attractive old town with galleries, cafes, pubs and working harbour. For the walkers amongst you there are countless beaches and coastal paths, all within easy reach.

Stepping inside the property you will find lounge with comfortable seating, wood burner and TV/DVD, the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. From here leading through to the open-plan kitchen/diner, a great social space to prepare a family meal or enjoy a lazy breakfast, well-equipped with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble drier, and coffee machine. Enjoy your meal around the dining table with seating for six whilst enjoying your favourite songs on the stereo.  Heading upstairs to the first floor you will find the first of the two bedrooms. The first is a king-size with views across the village and river, the second is the spacious twin. Completing this floor is the stylish bathroom with shower over bath and WC with views of Fowey and the river. Heading upstairs to the second floor, completing the accommodation, you will find a further king-size bedroom with TV and en-suite shower room with shower and WC.

Heading outside from the kitchen you will find the terrace area that runs along the back of the cottage with views across to the church, castle, river and countryside beyond, perfect for enjoying a spot of al fresco dining.

The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark. Children will love winding their way through the scenic coastal landscape with the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and for those brave enough, there is ample opportunity to hunt down the mysterious beast of Bodmin Moor.

The beautiful capital town of Truro with its magnificent cathedral and wide boulevards is just over an hour away by car and the newly redeveloped St Austell, home to the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan can be reached within forty-five minutes. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside and nature reserves, lakes and rivers, the area boasts some of the best sailing and watersports in the UK. If you are looking for somewhere remote and unspoilt, but with lots to keep you busy, Polruan is the perfect choice.
