This cosy cottage is set in the heart of this ancient fishing village and has easy access to all Cornwall has to offer, with Fowey a short ferry ride away with a choice of pubs and restaurants.

Perfectly located at the top of Polruan village with parking and a stroll to the harbour, Polruan is an ancient fishing village famous for its boat building heritage. Perfectly positioned on the Fowey river estuary, which is a thriving centre for fishing, seafaring, shipbuilding and agriculture. There are a choice of two village pubs in Fowey and a passenger ferry that will take you across the estuary. Further afield there are plenty of places to visit and things to do, why not visit the tall ships at Charlestown, take the brewery tour in St Austell or visit the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Also, for those interested in stately homes why not visit Lanhydrock in Bodmin.

Upon arrival, enter this stunning detached traditional cottage into the lounge. This is the perfect relaxation space with wood burner and comfy sofas where you can snuggle up and watch a film on the TV/DVD with basic Sky TV package. From the lounge a door will lead you into the kitchen/diner, this light and airy sociable space is the perfect place to gather for that pre meal chit chat or that lazy breakfast. The kitchen comprises of an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and an American style fridge/freezer. There is dining space for six guests with French doors leading to the rear enclosed garden. A separate utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and microwave leads off the kitchen and a separate ground floor WC leads off this. The ground floor bedroom comprises of a twin with an en-suite shower room and WC. Bedroom two is found on the first floor and is accessed by the cottage style staircase to the rear of the property and comprises of a double bed with an en-suite shower room and WC and bedroom three is also found on the first floor and accessed from the cottage style staircase staircase in the lounge, this bedroom is a king-size with en-suite shower room and WC.

Heading outside there is an enclosed rear garden with charcoal BBQ and garden furniture, perfect for a spot of al fresco dining and to the front of the property there is off-road parking for two cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This cottage was delightful. Spacious, airy and bright. The kitchen is great. Loads of room to move around and very well equipped. The owners even provide doggy litter bags! There is a large TV in the lounge with a large number of DVDs to choose from. Given the space and equipment, a winter break would be as enjoyable as in summer. Very steep hill Read moredown to the harbour so need to be fit- but you soon get used to it! Hide

Lovely cottage in a beautiful village. Need to be very fit to get back up the hill so not for the faint hearted or anyone with mobility problems. Cottage is extremely well equipped and a bonus having 3 bathrooms. Luggers Inn at bottom of hill serves excellent food but reserve as gets very busy.

Very well equipped and comfortable spacious cottage situated in typical Cornish creekside village. Simple but adequate facilities in the village - including two pubs. Good base for north Cornwall with lots to see and do.

A wonderful cottage, very cosy and everything you need and more besides. Decor throughout was lovely. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower was amazing. Cannot fault this property it made Christmas that little bit more special.

The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark.
