This cottage was perfect and ideally suited for a short stay for a couple. Full of charm and character with a cosy feel being tucked away and very quiet being effectively detached. The view was great from the first floor dinning /kitchen room and from the decked area to the rear garden across to Fowey in the evening sunny position. Stayed in a few Read morePolruan cottages and this was my favourite. The three doubles give plenty of space but indulge as a couple if you can afford and like space. Perfect Hide

Beautiful location and accurate description of the property. A bit of an inconvenience with parking but a great way to get fit while on holiday!!! Very private property. Would recommend.

Lovely cottage, but very difficult to access. Car park is a walk away, and you need to block the road to unload the car.

The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark. Children will love winding their way through the scenic coastal landscape with the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and for those brave enough, there is ample opportunity to hunt down the mysterious beast of Bodmin Moor.

The beautiful capital town of Truro with its magnificent cathedral and wide boulevards is just over an hour away by car and the newly redeveloped St Austell, home to the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan can be reached within forty-five minutes. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside and nature reserves, lakes and rivers, the area boasts some of the best sailing and watersports in the UK. If you are looking for somewhere remote and unspoilt, but with lots to keep you busy, Polruan is the perfect choice.
