Clean, lovely towels and bed linen in a super spot just right with our young dog. The garden was safe and secure for her to be in and lots of fields and tracks for those essential walks. The cottage was very comfortable , warm and spacious we didn't light the wood burner but that would have made it super cosy. Planning to return for probably our neRead morext Cornwall trip as lots of walks and places to visit locally Hide

My only criticism would be the post code takes you to the wrong property and the walk into fowey from the property the paths are not sign posted and well over grown easy to get lost ! Apart from that easy access by car by to all other areas

Lovely cottage with an enclosed patio which was perfect for the dogs. Difficult to find, but make sure you follow the instructions on the confirmation email as these were very helpful. A nice central location, close to Eden Project, lots of beaches, and a number of towns. Fowey is nearby and is beautiful, well worth a visit!

Beautiful setting and added bonus we could take our dog along. It was lovely to sit out and watch the amazing starlit sky at night and the bats flying about. Very accessible for our 11 year old son in a wheelchair and the pool an added bonus. Lovely comfy beds. The free range organic eggs are so amazing I brought some home. We had a lovely stay at honeypin our girls loved using the pool and pool table this was great for a few rainy spells. We enjoyed walking to the local pub through the fields with our puppy and had a couple of great meals there. We loved exploring the local area and found plenty of great places to visit.

This was without doubt the nicest holiday cottage we've stayed in. Very clean, very comfortable, and with a great wet room. The road down to Golant is narrow, quite steep and definitely not recommended for walking unless you're incredibly fit. Honeypin is perfect as a base for Eden, Heligan, Fowey and Charlestown. Par Sands is good for the dogs - iRead moret's all year around and a long stretch of sand. Truro is worth a visit. Hide

The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark. Children will love winding their way through the scenic coastal landscape with the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and for those brave enough, there is ample opportunity to hunt down the mysterious beast of Bodmin Moor.

The beautiful capital town of Truro with its magnificent cathedral and wide boulevards is just over an hour away by car and the newly redeveloped St Austell, home to the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan can be reached within forty-five minutes. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside and nature reserves, lakes and rivers, the area boasts some of the best sailing and watersports in the UK. If you are looking for somewhere remote and unspoilt, but with lots to keep you busy, Polruan is the perfect choice.
