We really enjoyed our stay at the Harbour Lodge in Whitstable. The lodge was ideal for what we needed and we felt at home as soon as we walked in. The location if fantastic and right in the heart of Whitstable. I would highly recommend this holiday home to all friends and family who were thinking of visiting Whitstable. Thank you very much to RichaRead morerd and Sharon for the thoughtful bottle of fizz, it was exactly what we wanted to celebrate the start of our stay in Whitstable. Hide

What a fab stay we had at Harbour cottage, everything was supplied for those that like to self cater, we are lazy on holiday and eat out, coffee and croissants on a terrace at The Harbour Shed was heaven. Would love to stay again and would recommend to anyone thinking of a trip to Whitstable

Very comfortable and modern holiday cottage which is well equipped. Whilst this is a one bedroom cottage it feels spacious including the lovely bedroom upstairs. The private courtyard garden area is bit of a suntrap and is ideal for the use of the BBQ. The property is situated in the town so it is very close to the shops pubs and restaurants.

The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark. Children will love winding their way through the scenic coastal landscape with the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and for those brave enough, there is ample opportunity to hunt down the mysterious beast of Bodmin Moor.

The beautiful capital town of Truro with its magnificent cathedral and wide boulevards is just over an hour away by car and the newly redeveloped St Austell, home to the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan can be reached within forty-five minutes. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside and nature reserves, lakes and rivers, the area boasts some of the best sailing and watersports in the UK. If you are looking for somewhere remote and unspoilt, but with lots to keep you busy, Polruan is the perfect choice.
