A lovely layout and modern fittings, very nice balcony views but we would suggest a more thorough check of appliances between guests. Whilst we very much enjoyed the property, some things especially the cooker could have been cleaner (the grill pan was full of fat which we wiped out, but didn't use) the washer had the previous holiday guests wet waRead moreshing still on ot and whilst it stated no pets, the settee did smell of dog. The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark.
