Excellent location with easy access to town's amenities. Cottage is dark inside, built into the rock, so interior lights needed in kitchen and family room. Bedrooms comfortable with plenty of storage space. Views of the water are limited.

We love this cottage it has retained its fishermans cottage charm, has good quality furnishings, was very clean and is in a great location. It has all you need and feels like a home from home. We have visited 3 times and would visit again.

Great cottage in a central location a few steps away from the seafront. If you are staying in the area for a week, definitely get a rover parking pass which is valid in many long stay car parks in the area. The cottage is clean and very well equipped. Access is via keylock which is so simple to use. We felt very comfortable - home from home.

A fantastic cottage; lovely location close to the town centre. Stairs are steep but we knew that before we arrived. Clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely cottage. Very steep internal stairway if people have mobility problems. Also the shower is over a very high bath. Great accommodation for mobile people.

Great location looking over the River, ideal situated in the hear of Fowey for exploring the town and tasting the local cuisine. The cottage itself had everything we needed, very comfortable, very much appreciated the cream tea and bottle of wine. Recommend paying for a parking pass for the week as there is no parking outside accommodation, but neaRead morerest car park is only a 5 minutes walk. We look forward to returning, Hide

The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark. Children will love winding their way through the scenic coastal landscape with the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and for those brave enough, there is ample opportunity to hunt down the mysterious beast of Bodmin Moor.

The beautiful capital town of Truro with its magnificent cathedral and wide boulevards is just over an hour away by car and the newly redeveloped St Austell, home to the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan can be reached within forty-five minutes. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside and nature reserves, lakes and rivers, the area boasts some of the best sailing and watersports in the UK. If you are looking for somewhere remote and unspoilt, but with lots to keep you busy, Polruan is the perfect choice.
