A superb peaceful location in the heart of beautiful North Devon this Grade II listed barn, adjacent to the owners' farmhouse, is situated on a 27 acre small holding with a variety of farm animals.

The farm was once a 100 acre dairy farm, now reduced to 27 acres guests are welcome to walk around the farm and land. The village of Woolsery is the closest for amenities and offers a convenience store, and recently reopened pub, fish and chip shop and restaurant. Hartland Point with its lighthouse, abbey, quay and pub all just 15 minutes away, the beautiful unspoilt picturesque villages of Clovelly and Bucks Mill are both within 10 minutes, or Appledore, Westward Ho! and Saunton Sands are all easily reached on the A39. Sample some of the regions food produce at a local food market, held monthly at Bude and Hartland.

The barn, adjacent to the owners’ farmhouse, is situated in a superb peaceful location in the heart of beautiful North Devon. On entering the property, you will notice the character features including the exposed stonework and beams. The lounge / kitchen / diner is arranged across an open plan space with a cosy woodburner as a focal point at the end of the room. The kitchen area consists of electric cooker and hob, integrated fridge with freezer section, dishwasher and microwave. There is one double bedroom with king size bed, with TV/DVD and DAB / iPod dock. Accessed through the bedroom is the en-suite wet room with bath, shower and WC. The wet room is equipped with a portable folding chair, bath mat & grab rail.

Directly outside of the property is a patio area with garden furniture and BBQ, and an additional seating area across the farm track. Exploring the 27 acres of land further there is an orchard, the farms polytunnel and vegetable garden where guests will be able to pick their own seasonal salads and vegetables to accompany your BBQ or home cooked dinners. Weather dependant guests are also welcome to try a spot of fishing at either of the two rivers that run along the edge of the farms boundary. There is off road parking for 1 car.

We had a lovely two weeks at thee cottage , my wife and I have never slept better. Location great ,remote and within a working farm. Despite this it is ideal for easy access to local attractions like Bude , Hartland Biddeford and Westward-:Ho ,to name a few. Carol and Steve (the owners) were there if we needed any thing and were perfect hosts. AnotRead moreher thing I have to mention was the lovely cream tea waiting for us on arrival , delicious! An absolute gorgeous bolt hole for rest and relaxation! You need a car to get about as you are in the middle of nowhere. Enjoy mindfulness walks around the 30 acres, along the river catching sight of wildlife. Dipple Dairy Cottage is in a wonderful location. It is so peaceful, set it in fabulous countryside. You can use it as a great base to explore beautiful Devon and Cornwall. The owners; Carol and Steve are lovely people, so welcoming and helpful. Will definitely go again.

Unfortunately, this cottage wasnt suitable for us. Even though it was August, when we arrived: it smelt damp in the cottage; we had to turn all the heaters on all week and we had to wear jumpers to bed. We found there was a very strong smell on the sofa so we avoided it. When we used the shower, we almost flooded the bathroom. We had to mop the floRead moreor daily. This cottage wont suit non-dog owners or city people. Carol & Steve are very helpful and the kitchen is well equipped. Hide

A peaceful and beautiful place to stay. We particularly enjoyed the local walk from our door to the river through the woods. Our dog was so miserable when we came home, he refused to come out of the car!

Very spacious . Log burner was set for when we arrived as the 1st night was a little chilly .. so this was a nice touch . Extremely well equipped with quality . They have done a great job providing an excellent holiday cottage . Friendly and welcoming.

We had a short break here, with our two little terriers. Top marks all round. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. Beautiful coastal walks near by. The owners are a lovely couple and nothing was too much trouble. Definitely booking again later this year for a longer stay.

A lovely rural and peaceful cottage which feels spacious. The hosts are really friendly and make fresh scones for you on arrival and take time to show you around their smallholding. There's a lovely feel to the place and space to wander round the fields.

The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips.
