An ideal location from which to explore both the coast and countryside of Suffolk, the village of Debenham offers a range of amenities and places to eat. Sightseers will enjoy strolling country lanes to walk or cycle and a plethora of charming medieval towns and villages to visit. No trip to Suffolk would be complete without exploring the scenic Suffolk Heritage Coast with charming coastal resorts including Southwold, home of the famous brewery and pier and Aldeburgh which are easily accessible with the pretty A1120 tourist route. Framlingham and Orford Castles are well worth a visit as is the cathedral town of Bury St Edmunds with Abbey gardens, prestigious shopping, a great market, Theatre Royal and brewery to name a few.

With its circular interiors and nostalgic structures, this delightful mill conversion offers beautiful accommodation over two floors. Mixing modern conveniences such as underfloor heating with traditional character such as beams and exposed brick walls, guests will experience comfortable, sophisticated and cosy surroundings in which to enjoy a blissful break. The lounge features two comfortable sofas arranged around the wood burner and Smart TV, ideal for sinking into after a day exploring the area or cosying up on a cooler evening. From here there is a door to the striking sun lounge, flooded with natural light, which accommodates both a dining table and further seating from which to enjoy lovely views over the moat to fields and farmland beyond; a fantastic backdrop to any celebratory meal. The stylish kitchen is well-equipped for those wishing to dine in with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment and to help with cleaning, a handy dishwasher and a washing machine. There is also a breakfast bar for more informal dining. Moving up the oak staircase with glass panelling to the first floor, there is a spacious king-size bedroom with TV and continuation of the exposed circular brick walls which add a wonderful romantic element. High ceilings, exposed wooden flooring and a central skylight allow for a light and airy feel. Walking out onto the large balcony ,guests can once again enjoy panoramic views over rural Suffolk while indulging in a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Completing the accommodation is a contemporary bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC.

Outside, the mill features an enclosed patio area ideal for a spot of al fresco dining with garden furniture and a gas BBQ. For the ultimate in relaxation, a private hot tub in which to sit back and gaze over the fields beyond or up to the stars. A path leads around the mill and the moat below is home to ornamental fish. Off-road parking for one car is available adjacent to the mill.

Debenham Mill was a stunning property and a real home from home. We had fantastic weather but I think it would be equally as enjoyable in colder times with the log burner and the hot tub. Just sitting on the deck we saw numerous birds, birds of prey, rabbits and a deer. We really enjoyed staying here and had a truly relaxing and fun experience both at the old mill and exploring the surrounding countryside and wider parts of Suffolk. The hot tub was magnificent!

This is a delightful conversion of a derelict windmill in a pretty part of Suffolk. First time we have been to Debenham, and enjoyed walking to the villlage, the butchers were excellent. It is only a short drive to the Suffolk coast with other nice towns like Southwold. A wonderful place to stay. Spotless, well equipped, warm, comfortable and inviting. So lovely to meet our hosts who made us so welcome.. Quite probably the nicest place we have ever stayed in. Everything was provided to the highest standard with lots of thoughtful extras. We spend a lot of time in the sun room and of course enjoyed the hot tub. Our dog enjoyed running in the adjoining meadow and the box of dog treats! Our host were just next door, friendly, helpful and unobtrusive.

The Mill is a beautiful holiday cottage. Well equipped and comfortable. The conservatory area is a lovely room to relax in on the reclining sofa with a good book. The hot tub was an added treat and a lovely way to relax after a day of walking in the beautiful Suffolk countryside.

Situated on the outskirts of a lovely village, Debenham Mill looks out on to open countryside. In a great location to explore the Suffolk county. It is equipped with everything you need, with lovely furnishings. We had a lovely relaxed week and returned home refreshed and recharged. Will definitely recommend and would gladly return.

Couldn't of asked for anything more because the mill had everything there. From a lovely welcome pack filled with local goodies to extra towels & gowns for when using the hot tub. We relaxed as soon as we arrived & spent most of the time in the sunroom. It didn't matter if it was bright sun or driving rain, sat there watching the wildlife & the vieRead morews. The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark. Children will love winding their way through the scenic coastal landscape with the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and for those brave enough, there is ample opportunity to hunt down the mysterious beast of Bodmin Moor.
