Darcy's cottage is very well equipped and clean. The bathroom is immaculate with a lovely hot shower and the roll top bath is a blissful welcome after a long days walk. The bed is extremely comfortable too. Good location for exploring the surrounding areas. The host Michelle was very welcoming and provided plenty of information. We would probably tRead morery one of the other cottages on offer if we visit the area again, but would highly recommend. Hide

Lovely character cottage and host . Nice touches with Prosecco in fridge , home made jam and cakes . Bathroom was amazing and thankfully upstairs beside bedroom as stairs very narrow and steep but all added to the character. No shops or pubs in village but very near York would go back if in the neighborhood .

Everything we needed in a home from home. Woodburner was a novelty for us, we had it on every night! Access to Sky TV, WiFi, Netflix! Got a bit cold in the bedroom at night, but you have access to the thermostat to alter the temp. Steep stairs to get upstairs so maybe not ideal for people with mobility problems. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark.
