A lovely cottage in the centre of Polruan. Well equipped with comfortable beds. Boot room worked well for storing beach and kayaking gear. Cottage is spacious with ample room which compensates for small 2nd bedroom. Fabulous views, perfect for beach, local pubs, shop, and Fowey passenger ferry. Ideal for Kayaking, swimming, walks along the West CoaRead morest path. Lantic Bay within walking distance. We stayed a week with teenagers and did not use our car once. Off road carparking 25/week. We loved all aspects of the property - obviously because of the lay-out over three floors, anyone with mobility issues would find the stairs difficult - this is the same for all properties of course. Very tall people may find some of the ceilings a bit low.

The cottage is in an excellent location in the village, right in the middle and near to everything you might want - shops, local pubs and ferry via the quayside. The cottage being an 'upside down house' means that you always have a stunning view out of the top floor lounge window - its easy to just sit there and admire the view.

This is a fantasic cottage in a wonderful location. There are many little extras such as dvds, books and games just the thing for a stormy evening in overlooking the harbour.

The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark. Children will love winding their way through the scenic coastal landscape with the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and for those brave enough, there is ample opportunity to hunt down the mysterious beast of Bodmin Moor.

The beautiful capital town of Truro with its magnificent cathedral and wide boulevards is just over an hour away by car and the newly redeveloped St Austell, home to the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan can be reached within forty-five minutes. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside and nature reserves, lakes and rivers, the area boasts some of the best sailing and watersports in the UK. If you are looking for somewhere remote and unspoilt, but with lots to keep you busy, Polruan is the perfect choice.
