This stunning contemporary bungalow boasts stunning waterside views overlooking the Teign estuary and sea and has been tenderly furnished to provide a spacious and relaxing romantic couples retreat.

Perfectly situated with a raised position in the heart of the unspoilt village of Shaldon on the South Devon coast across the Teign estuary opposite the town of Teignmouth. A short 0.3 miles walk to Shaldon Beach with is gently sloping mix of sand and shingle or less than a mile away is Ness Cove Beach, accessed via an original Smugglers tunnel. Shaldon Zoo is 0.5 miles away as is the fabulous pub ‘The Ness’. Shaldon’s Botanical Gardens are just a few steps away from the property and nearby are some great local eateries. Alternatively, travel to Teignmouth on the oldest passenger ferry in England, where there are various cafés, restaurants, and bars, as well as traditional seaside entertainment to enjoy.

This delightful bungalow welcomes you from the moment you enter its front door, stepping inside you enter the open-plan lounge/dining space. With a cosy wood burner, comfortable sofa, and Smart TV you’re all set to sit back and watch your favourite movie. Relax in the grand armchairs and read a book, or if needs must catch up on some work at the reclaimed desk. To the rear of the room there is a lovely table and chairs ready to enjoy a romantic meal with the waterside views in the distance. The kitchen is well equipped with appliances including a dishwasher, coffee machine, electric oven, induction hob, fridge/freezer, and limited edition Denby dinnerware. To the rear of the property is a stylish wetroom boasting a beautiful rainfall shower and WC. Completing this wonderful couples retreat is the king-size bedroom with a free-standing bath adjacent to the bed, both offering waterside views, a hidden vanity area with lights, and plenty of storage space. Whether you decide to relax in a bubble bath or snuggle up in bed you can spend the evening star gazing from the comfort of the bedroom.

Outside the bliss continues, with two large Easter Island Head water features and decked patio space with table and chairs, dine alfresco and relax with the beautiful uninterrupted views. A BBQ area and outside garden hose are available should the sandy beach wear need a quick blast off. Off-road parking for one vehicle is provided with a dozen steps up to the property entrance.

We had the most amazing time, Con Mar has the most beautiful view, I would say probably the best view of all houses in Shaldon, the location is perfect, just a minute walk down to the beach and a couple of minutes to pubs and restaurants. The property is beautiful it was like stopping in a boutique hotel, Keith was really friendly and helpful, the Read morelittle hamper was a lovely surprise and a very nice touch, I can't recommend this place enough. Thank you Keith for such a lovely holiday. Hide

We stayed at Keith's place in Shaldon for a 5 day break in early July. We had a wonderful stay and did not want to leave this little Idyll. The setting is stunning with incredible views, and the location is perfect with easy access to everything Shaldon has to offer. The accommodation is delightful in every way. Fantastic location, safe off road parking. Steps led up to the propertys lovely large private patio., which was perfect for relaxing and taking in the fabulous views. The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark. Children will love winding their way through the scenic coastal landscape with the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and for those brave enough, there is ample opportunity to hunt down the mysterious beast of Bodmin Moor.

The beautiful capital town of Truro with its magnificent cathedral and wide boulevards is just over an hour away by car and the newly redeveloped St Austell, home to the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan can be reached within forty-five minutes. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside and nature reserves, lakes and rivers, the area boasts some of the best sailing and watersports in the UK. If you are looking for somewhere remote and unspoilt, but with lots to keep you busy, Polruan is the perfect choice.
