This property is the ideal base for families to explore the Cornish coast, located just a short walk from the beach, shop and pub in Polruan. Take a trip over the river to Fowey on the passenger ferry and explore the shops and restaurants or take the small ferry to the village of Mevagissey. For the walkers, there are plenty of coastal paths to choose from and for the beach lovers, take your pick of the many close by beaches along the Cornish coast. For a fun day out there are a range of attractions worth a visit including, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project, Charlestown, one of the filming locations in the TV series Poldark and Hangloose Adventures.

Stepping inside the property to the open-plan lounge/diner, you will find the dining table with seating for four and the bright and airy lounge area with comfortable seating and Smart TV and DVD. The perfect space to relax after a day of exploring and watch your favourite movie. From here, take a step up into the stylish, well-equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with ice compartment, and washer dryer, Ideal for preparing a family meal or lazy breakfast. When you’re ready for a good night’s sleep, take the stairs up to the first floor from the lounge/diner to find the two bedrooms. The first is a twin bedroom with 2ft 6 inch wide beds and the second is a double bedroom with river views. Completing this stylish accommodation is the contemporary shower room with shower and WC.

Heading outside, up a couple of steps and out the kitchen door, you will find the steps to the raised garden with views of the harbour. The garden is accessed via a narrow path and 2 sets of steep slate steps. Parking is available in nearby car parks.

  • Polruan is a quaint little village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging.
  • Many of the amenities, ferries and cottages in Polruan are accessed via steps some of which can be steep. Please contact us if you have specific requirements.
  • There are many small winding streets that are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Polruan do not have private parking. However, there is a large pay and display carpark at the top of the village.
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • 2 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £25. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

Lovely cottage in a great location, just a few yards from the dock, bakery, shop and the pubs :) Fantastic walking in the area and the ferry to Fowey is frequent and runs until late.

This cottage is very well situated in Polruan, close to the harbour and the ferry to Fowey. The cottage is well equipped and furnished to a high start and ideal for a family of four. There is a small garden area which is ideal for sitting in at the end of a busy day soaking up the Sun and the sounds of Polruan. We enjoyed our stay at the cottage imRead moremensely. Lovely Cottage nice inside and really close to harbour but not a good location of you have mobility issues as car park is up top of a massive steep hill , you are able to drive down to unload and pick up, we were lucky it was quiet but I would definitely not want to do in height of season, the garden is up 2 flights of really steep steps and was veRead morery mossy and slippery so we didn't even attempt to use Hide

Polruan is a beautiful town and everyone we met were friendly and our dogs were well treated by everyone. The local pubs were lovely especially the Lugger Inn, and the food was excellent.

Beautiful cottage in a great location for us. Very clean on arrival. On the smaller side, however we do have two fairly large Golden Retrievers. Great choice of board games for rainy day & speedy wifi. Kitchen was well equipped. Would definitely return

Absolutely lovely place to stay in Cornwall close to all amenities If you like hill walking you will be at home here. Beware very steep climb to car park. Would highly recommend

A comfortable and well equipped cottage in a good location ( unless views of the harbour are required.). The fact it is dog friendly is a plus. Fortunately the owners were easily contactable as were the local service personnel because the local company office was shut at departure day/time. Never the case when it was Polruan Cottages.
