We had a lovely stay at Cliff Cottage during a very mixed week of weather, mainly wind and rain. The log burner is perfect to light and enjoy in the late afternoon and evening. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and all the appliances worked well. Its very well situated in Polruan, about 100 yards away from the two pubs, with great Read moreviews of the river and across to Fowey. One negative was the main bedroom felt damp and cold, even though there was a storage heater in place. Hide

A very nice cottage in a pleasant situation. Very handy for shop. pubs and foot ferry. The heating worked well which was useful as it was rather wet when we were staying. The beds were very comfortable indeed. The cottage was well equipped and the views, especially from the top bedroom window was beautiful.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark.
