This is a superb, well presented cottage in a great location close to the harbour in Polruan. It is clean, tidy and well equipped and we really enjoyed our stay here. Be aware, the street it is on is fairly narrow and there is no parking - you are best using the village pay and display which does weekly tickets for 25. You should also grab suppliesRead more on the way - the village shop is practically next door and very well stocked, but the opening hours are sporadic. Overall a great property! Hide

Cottage spacious and well equipped but be warned that it is situated in the turn round area for all the supermarket deliveries and refuse collecting from very early in the morning so noise is an issue!

The cottage was beautiful. It was spotless and very well equipped. It has been refurbished to a very high standard and we loved it. It was positioned near the quay and at the bottom of the hill which saved our legs on a daily basis.

6 Fore Street is a very pretty cottage in the heart of the village. And because it is in the middle it can be very noisy....mainly from pedestrians and single track road. However this didnt really detract from our stay. The kitchen is well equipped, making it easy to eat in. Although very well positioned in the middle of Polruan close to the quay, the cottage needs more attention from the owner. Small issues such as poor lighting, a bedroom door that did not shut, a broken pedal bin and internet that didn't work during our stay lessened our enjoyment. We loved the cottage's convenient location in Polruan. The harbour area, pubs, cafes, bakery, shops and bus stop are a very short walk away - literally on the doorstep.

The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips. The village of Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history and horse pulled tram is a must-see and Charlestown, with its huge square sail ships is famously known as the key filming location for the hit TV series, Poldark. Children will love winding their way through the scenic coastal landscape with the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and for those brave enough, there is ample opportunity to hunt down the mysterious beast of Bodmin Moor.
