Situated just 10 minutes from the glorious Northumberland coast, this snug and cosy single-level holiday cottage is perfectly located for visiting the tranquil and picturesque village of Bamburgh.

The lovely village of Bamburgh is just a 10 minute drive away, her you can visit the historic Bamburgh Castle, once home to the Kings of Northumbria. You can also visit the inspiring RNLI Grace Darling Museum, or St Aidan’s Church, whose roots go back to the 7th century. Bamburgh is famous for its three miles of wonderful sandy beach as well as a choice of shops, tearooms, pubs and restaurants. A mile away is the pretty village of Lucker, and there are several other castles nearby including Dunstanburgh and Warkworth. You can take boat trips to Holy Island or to the bird sanctuaries on the Farne Islands and Budle Bay is also ideal for bird-watchers. The cottage is ideally located to enjoy lovely rural walks, cycle rides and days at the beach, by night enjoy dinner under the stars in the private garden with rural views. 

On entering this bright and welcoming holiday cottage, you will find yourself in the light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/bedroom, which benefits from large windowed doors allowing the cottage to be flooded with natural light, bringing a spacious and open feel to the property. Tastefully furnished and with comfy seating, Smart TV, DVD, and a traditional wood burner set on reclaimed natural stone, the inviting and cosy lounge is ideal for unwinding in after a fantastic day exploring this beautiful area. You will also find a charming dining area for two. Heading over to the attractively designed kitchen you will find it fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, and cafetiere. A step up leads onto a small mezzanine with a comfy double bed. Exploring this delightful single-level property further you will find a shower room with a large walk-in shower and WC.

Stepping outside, you can sit back and relax in the private, enclosed patio garden. During your stay, you might be lucky to catch a glimpse of a Northumberland red squirrel. There is a special feeder outside the property, where guests can encourage visits by placing hazelnuts in the special feeders. Sit back, relax and enjoy the sightings!

Lovely cottage. Airy and bright. Really well equipped. Cute little dining table for two! Close to Bamburgh and Seahouses and within walking distance to a friendly local pub in Lucker - although this is along a fairly busy country road without a footpath - easy drive there.

Cottage was lovely and very well designed. I did love the views of sunrise over field and equally lovely views of sunset from front of cottage. Although very small inside and with a post stamp sized garden. Ideal for a couple. Area is lovely with two lovely restaurants at Lucker a few minutes away by car. Bamburgh Castle and beach about 10 minutes Read moreaway. A1 is virtually 30 seconds away by car, but does not impact on enjoying cottage. Hide

We had a very relaxing stay in your cottage. You provided everything we needed and more. E.g. the Prosecco was a lovely touch and we enjoyed it very much, thank you. We brought our 2 little chihuahuas and considering it was their first time away from home, they settled really well and loved the enclosed garden. My second time at Bamburgh Cottages, last year I stayed in No.3 but I think I slightly prefer No.2! All very well laid out and equipped, and a great location - 4 miles from the coast, and just off the A1 making it quick to get to many of the area's attractions. Lovely, quiet little place to stay.

Had a lovely and enjoyable stay! The garden was just right for our medium sized puppy, and the accommodation itself was well-considered and efficient. The location was great - very close to the A1 for travelling, but close to Belford, Lucker and Bamburgh for amenities, pubs and walks. Lovely, well equipped studio cottage with views over the fields. Ideally located for exploring the beautiful Northumberland coast. It's compact but it's perfect for two. The log burner was very cosy and kept the January cold out.

We had a lovely 3 night break. Really relaxing! Bed was really comfy. The fire gives off a lot of heat! Everything you could need in the kitchen area. Local villages only 10-20 mins away. You get an amazing view of the sun rise! Loved the cows in the field.

A lovely cottage with great views on to fields. The wood burning stove is brilliant. A beautiful area of the country to visit whatever the weather also we found great places to eat. The Apple Inn in Lucker does an amazing Sunday Roast and Beadnell Towers is fabulous.

Perfect little getaway for the weekend . Very clean and tidy on arrival with everything you'd need for a short weekend break. Amenities were very good and located just of the A1 but far enough not to here any traffic. Within a good distance to neighbouring towns and villages to with a garage/store on your doorstep for any essentials needed. A lovely, very well equipped small cottage ideally situated with easy access from the A1 and only a few miles from the gorgeous beaches at Bamburgh and Beadnell. Lovely cottage for 2. We stayed here for a week, great location within access by car to Bamburgh, Beadnell etc. So quiet with an enclosed garden for the dog. The property has one room which consists of the kitchen living room and bedroom with a bathroom off. Very clean.

A wonderful little studio cottage that has everything you could need for a few days away. There were two little bottle of Prosecco to welcome us in the fridge and tea, coffee and some biscuits. The location, being only a few minutes from the A1, was perfect and made travelling around the area really easy. There is a great pub a few minutes drive awRead moreay in Lucker (could walk but it's down the main road so probably not very safe in the dark) which serves great food. Would definitely stay again. Pleasantly surprised, the pictures dont do it justice, make it look smaller than it actually is, I'd call it a studio, but was more than enough for our stay. We loved the views out onto the fields. Everything was thought of and very clean. if I have to say one thing, the shower was a very poor show. No pressure and lukewarm not what you need after Read morea cold day out walking ! The ancient fishing village of Polruan lies just across the river from the delightful civil parish of Fowey, a bustling picturesque town packed with quirky coastal shops, art galleries and restaurants. Surrounded by some of the region’s most enchanting countryside, this pair of Cornish cousins have a truly magical feel about them. Polruan, with its steep hill and charming cottages looking down over the pretty harbour, and Fowey with its timeless maritime charm, are linked together by the Fowey Estuary, a haven of colourful sailing and fishing boats dotted about on the water.

A short drive away are the nearby harbours of East and West Looe with their quayside restaurants, sandy beaches and wildlife boat trips.
