Our Guide to Activities in Cornwall this Easter

Spring is nearly upon us, and as the daffodils peep their heads out of the ground, it’s time to start thinking about how you will entertain the family this Easter during your stay at one of our holiday cottages in Cornwall.

Cornwall is abundant with wildlife, attractions, beaches and activities, and you don’t have to wait until summer to enjoy the outdoors.

Here’s our guide to some fun family-friendly activities to enjoy this Easter in Cornwall:


Easter Hunts

Easter Egg Hunts Cornwall

Taking place throughout the Easter holidays, you’ll find most attractions in Cornwall will be holding a fun Easter hunt for all ages.

St Michael’s Mount, near Penzance – 29th to 31st March, 2017

Hunt for the golden eggs in the Eggstra-special Cadbury Easter Egg trail which will take you around the village and harbour. There will also be face-painting, a bouncy castle, live music and egg and spoon races throughout the weekend.

Newquay Zoo – 29th March to 14th April, 2017

There will be games for all of the family, Easter egg hunts, Easter hat making, and the chance to sponsor a duck in the daily duck race.

Bodmin & Wenford Railway, near Bodmin - 16th & 17th April, 2017

Hope aboard the steam train and enjoy Easter egg hunts, balloon modelling, Brake Van rides, face painting, and Easter activity sheets with a quiz, while enjoying the beautiful Cornish countryside.

Flambards Easter Holidays

Camel Creek Adventure Park, near Wadebridge

This Easter, there will be an Egg Hunt, face painting, and the Easter Bunny will make a special appearance on Easter Sunday. There are also animal attractions, children’s rides, and a 5D simulator that all the family can enjoy.

Flambards Theme Park, Helston – 16th April, 2017

The Big Easter Hunt will be taking place on 16th April where kids and adults can join Ferdi the Fox on a trail around the theme park in search of chocolate treats. There are also fun rides and activities for all ages.



Eden Project Cornwall

The Eden Project, near St Austell – 1st to 17th April, 2017

You can take part in the big Easter Hunt and egg-themed games where there will be plenty of prizes to enjoy, or the family can have a go on the inflatable assault course.

Glendurgan Garden, near Falmouth – 14th April, 2017

Little ones can hunt for Easter eggs in the Olive Grove, while older children follow the Easter trail around the three valleys of Glendurgan garden searching for Cadbury chocolates prizes.

Caerhays Castle, St Austell – 14th, 15th & 17th April, 2017

Join in the Easter egg hunt around this magical fairy tale castle, searching for the chocolate treats that have been hidden throughout the grounds. Complete the quiz long the way and you’ll be rewarded with more treats.
