Celebrate Easter at a Cottage in Cornwall

Easter might be a little early this year but the magnolia trees in Cornwall are already starting to bloom, daffodils are popping up on hedgerows, and tiny green buds are appearing on trees, which means winter is nearly over and spring is on the way.

Cornwall is a magical place during March and April, with flowers in bloom, new lambs in fields and temperatures on the increase.

There’s a lot going on this Easter in Cornwall, and it’s a great time to book a family break in a Cornish cottage in Polruan or Fowey.

Rosmary Cottage in Polruan is a former Coastguard cottage that boasts views overlooking the sea and the river. Nearby parking, WiFi, and a garden makes it a fantastic choice for an Easter escape with the children and your dog.

Set up your own Easter egg hunt in the garden of one of our cottages in Cornwall, or head off to an organised event at one of the many nearby attractions such as the Great Eden Egg Hunt at the nearby Eden Project from 25th March to 10th April.

There are many family-friendly activities and events happening across Cornwall this Easter. Watch Peter Pan on Ice at the Hall for Cornwall in Truro in April; go on fairground rides and make balloon models at the Easter Bunny Hop and Fun Day at the Cornwall Hotel on 28th March; see dance and music performance and theatre shows at Truro Day from 2nd to 9th April; or enjoy tasty Easter treats and entertainment at the Trereife Easter Food and Craft Fair from 25th to 28th March.

If you have indulged in too much delicious chocolate, head off on an energising coastal walk and soak up the beautiful scenery and wildlife. You can walk from Polruan to Lantic Bay, passing through the woodland along Pont Pill creek.

Bring your bikes with you or hire them, and head off on a day out on the cycle trail at Lanhydrock. There are trails for all ages and abilities and you can stop off along the way at the cafe or Adventure Park.

Back at your Cornish cottage, you can cook an Easter Sunday lunch, or eat out at one of the cosy village pubs like the King of Prussia in Fowey or The Russell Inn in Polruan.

Choose from one of our many classic cottages in Cornwall to enjoy a long weekend or special family holiday this Easter.
